Mead Tea
$ 10.00 $ 21.00
Mead: This honey-sweet tea is caffeine free and blends a nutty smoothness mingled with a light citrus twist to give a well rounded honey flavor. No sweeteners have been added to this delightful tea, nor does it contain alcohol.
Tasting Notes: This isn't a nutty tea, even though it's got almond flavoring. When I blended this I wanted to create a honey taste and texture. I wanted the flavor of real honey, not the fake syrup that some companies call honey. I wanted the taste of the honey producers I visited as a teen. The citrus and almond don't dance opposite each other. They mingle to create something lovely and wholly unexpected.
Suggested Brewing Time and Temperature: This Rooibos base is considered an herbal, and as such brews best at 210 degrees for 3-6 minutes.
Presented in a 6 fl oz tin roughly 14-15 cups of tea. Presented in a 16 fl oz tin, roughly 40 cups of tea depending on preparation strength. Remember, don't try to make your tea stronger by steeping it longer, it'll get a bitter taste. Instead, increase the amount of tea you're using. Don't worry, you can always resteep the leaves. The general rule is a heaping teaspoon for each teacup you’re brewing. If you’re using a larger mug, increase the tea too.
